SymplyAURA provides a locally managed S3 object-storage repository for backup, active archive and large unstructured-data collections. This 180TB raw-capacity model is built in a 2U rackmount enclosure and uses NL-SAS MACH.2 multi-actuator drives, which Symply positions for higher-performance storage workflows without moving entirely to flash-based capacity tiers.
AURA can start as a single appliance and expand into a multi-appliance object-storage environment as requirements change. This makes it suitable for media and entertainment archives, enterprise backup repositories, research datasets and other workflows where capacity, data protection and long-term growth need to be planned together. Symply's 16th-generation object software is deployed and orchestrated using integrated Kubernetes, with administrator access for buckets, protection policies, system monitoring and cluster management.
Data resilience is delivered through erasure coding, replication and self-healing cluster technology. Symply specifies tolerance of two data-drive failures within its in-appliance protection configuration; in a three-or-more-appliance topology, the manufacturer also describes protection against the failure of a complete cluster appliance. These capabilities depend on the deployed protection policy and topology, rather than being a guarantee for every single-node installation. Administrator-defined policies can also spin down inactive disks to reduce power use.
Two 10GbE RJ45 and four 25GbE SFP28 network interfaces support integration into production and IT environments. Redundant NVMe system drives and hot-swappable redundant power supplies help reduce single-component service exposure. Supported optional pre-installed applications include Archiware P5 for archive/backup and replication, StorageDNA DNAfabric for data management across endpoints, and Tiger Technology Bridge for hybrid and on-premises content workflows. These are optional software solutions, not assumed to be bundled with this part number.
This SKU identifies the 180TB raw MACH.2 option with a three-year software subscription and rapid-exchange hardware warranty.
